Stylish End-of-Summer Finds

As summer draws to a close, we recommend that you take advantage of the remaining warm weather days to sport summery outfits like the ones featured below. We have some great finds and great bargains to entice you with at The Clothes Horse this week. All clothing and accessories are 20% off through September 3rd!

Try these great white capris ($6.00, on sale for $4.80) and stunning Lilly Pulitzer halter ($4.00, on sale for $3.20). Pair the look with a great pair of nude sandals ($5.00, on sale for $4.00)...sadly the pair pictured is no longer available, but there are lots of other summer shoes still on the racks. (We're a Thrift Store, after all, and when items go, they're gone for good. So stop in regularly and often!)

This pair of salmon pique capris ($6.00, on sale for $4.80) with a khaki and white patterned J. Crew cardigan ($6.00, on sale for $4.80) and handy zippered wristlet ($6.00, on sale for $4.80) are perfect for an evening out or an End-of-Summer weekend jaunt!

Get all of these pieces while they're hot (pun intended), and before they go home with someone else!

outfit post: headscarf and go!

This marks the first of our "outfit posts" featuring different ensembles you can find at The Clothes Horse.

We had a lot of fun for our first outfit and started with a headscarf. Rihanna has made the headscarf a mainstream trend again, which is perfect for those not-so-glam hair days! We paired this particular headscarf with a classic neutral crocheted top.

Denim is always in and so is this skort. That's right, we said skort. The skort is popping up in many different ways and can be found at many different stores, including Zara. Try it!

Pair these comfy pieces with a great structured leather shoulder purse (ours is navy with gold, and reminds us of Chanel) to pull it all together. The outfit works for any weekend event - try it with jeans for cooler weather or add heels to take it out at night.

We'd like to say a special thank you to Anna, a local blogger and fashion student/stylist who pens the blog AnnaBridget.com, she helped make our outfits look even better!
